The Clash of Queens slot is a colourful game that had us well entertained. Both queens are pretty handy with their wands and there’s plenty of magic dust being sprinkled around during the wins. And both ladies are sporting some pretty serious headgear- I wouldn’t mind some of those in.
Clash of Queens’ design was based on the universe created by Lewis Carroll’s novel Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There, which is the sequel to the world famous Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
Set six months after the earlier book, Alice sees Wonderland in a mirror of her house and then crawls through it back to the magical world. In this game developed by Genesis Gaming you will find classic characters like Tweedledum and Tweedledee, Humpty Dumpty and the Red and White queens, who are the protagonists, all of them will appear as symbols on the reels.
Like in some of their previous releases, Genesis Gaming decided you use a parallax effect on the background of this game, it makes all of the visuals that Clash of Queens provides look a lot cooler, but if you are not fond of these types of effects or find them distracting you can simply turn it off.
Genesis Gaming was founded in 2008, they have become a very good developer of video slot content, recognized by some of the leaders of the global gaming industry. Flexible engineering and great game performance are found on every title they release, like Mirror Magic and Temple of Luxor.

You can set the details of your wager on the bottom left side corner of the screen, choosing the amount of lines you want and the value of the coins, on the bottom right corner you will find the spin button, right on the middle of the screen you can check both your balance and the reward you got from your last spin. You have the option to use the autoplay feature if you want by tapping the autoplay button located at the right side of your balance.
There is one feature that is unique to this game, and I find it pretty cool. If you hit three scatter symbols you will witness a face off between the Red Queen and the White Queen.
Before the battle begins you will be able to choose one of the queens, which will determine the bonus you will get if the queen you choose wins the battle. The Red Queen will grant you a bonus of up to eight free spins with up to four random Wild reels and a potential free spins retrigger, while the White Queen gives you a pick feature with prize values doubled.
In this game payouts are made according to the Paytable, if you land 5 symbols of the same queen on an active payline you will get 750 times your wager per line, if a wild is used in one of these types of combinations your profits will be doubled.
This is a very interesting title, with a layout that was very well designed, using a parallax effect to create the feeling you are looking at a 3-D game.
Although I liked this game a lot I would have appreciated if the developers included only original symbols instead of combining just a few of the characters from the book with the traditional 9, 10, J, Q, K, A cards, since they look a bit out of place in an otherwise very visually appealing game. The animations are above average, especially the one that plays out during the activation of the Red Queen and White Queen face off, making it really stand out from other offers in the market.
