Ancient Rome is one of the most favoured themes by slot developers, and Quickspin has opted for this too for their slot title, Nero’s Fortune.
The slot comes with a pretty large game area, impressive top payouts, and beautiful graphics, and I will share all those details in this review:

I was impressed by Quickspin’s decision to use a 5x5 reels set-up for this title. Neros Fortune uses the Cluster Pays system, alongside other features like scatters, wilds, multipliers, free spins, and a unique bonus feature referred to as Burning Arrows.
Quickspin seems to have a preferred betting range of $0.20 to $100 per spin, and this also goes for Neros Fortune.
I’m quite impressed with the slot’s potential, and you can take home as much as 8,168x the stake.
In most cases, such high payouts are accompanied by high volatility, and Neros Fortune is no exception.
The lot is highly volatile, but the slightly above average RTP of 96.21% helps to cool things downs.
The game uses clusters to form a win and to get a winning cluster, you will require at least 5 similar symbols appearing in a group. A simple cluster (with 12+ red gems) can deliver up to 75x the stake.
For each Tumbling Reel that you trigger, a cluster will form. A new batch of symbols will come to replace the old ones, and this will go on as long as wins keep on happening.
When a cluster is removed, a feature known as Burning Arrows randomly trigger. This may add a multiplier within the empty positions, and it will remain in that position until it becomes part of a cluster. This will also hugely boost its value.
Wilds are important in slots, and Quickspin has used them on this title as well. They are very helpful, and while next to a cluster (with matching regular symbols), they can add an extra symbol to the collection.
The Flames of Nero bonus will bring along the free spins, and these will be triggered with the help of at least 3 BNS scatters. Depending on the number of scatters, the slot can reward you with between 10 and 14 free games.
Neros Fortune uses an Ancient Rome theme. however, from my personal experience with the game, I can say that there are a few elements which point to war.
I also find the design unusually dark, and Quickspin has decorated the columns with black marble columns and statues.
In addition to the Royals, the slot has other symbols like wolves, red gems, animal statues, and eagles among others.
Nero’s Fortune is a good game to play. Quickspin has included most of the things that players look for in a slot, and these are high payouts, excellent RTP, and a good design.
However, you need to tackle the slot with caution given it high volatility.
